The inaugural episode of Alice Isn’t Dead is a pedal-to-the-metal adrenaline rush. A lot of information is given to us. A bad guy, a vampiric homicide, a truck full of deodorant, and of course, Alice are all introduced. Puzzles are given. I am looking forward to exploring this world more in future episodes.
Betty N. Thesky is a flight attendant for a major airline and records funny stories she encounters herself, from fellow flight attendants, and pilots as she travels around the world. The podcast has been running since August 2005. Each episode of “Betty in the Sky with a Suitcase!” is just over a half hour, and releases monthly.
The creative team behind the successful podcast Welcome to Nightvale have announced a new podcast titled “Alice Isn’t Dead”. This will be a serial fiction podcast airing from March 8 – July 12th every other Tuesday. The teaser promises not just a story, but a “road trip” as a truck driver searches across America for the wife she had assumed dead. The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe offers a wide selection of short stories. The podcast said they aspired to become the new “The Rest of the Story”. The first six episodes were released March 1st, and have the Paul Harvey tone Mike said he wanted. All the podcasts are a short 6-8 minutes in length so they can fit in anyone’s schedule.
