The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe “Introducing ‘The Way I Heard It'”

Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch) has announced a new podcast. He explains they will  be “very short mystery stories influenced by Paul Harvey’s “The Rest of the Story” segments.

Will it be a 5-minute This American Life? or Lore meets Stuff You Missed in History Class? Let’s see what we get. With the promise of hearing 5 minutes of Mike Rowe’s voice every week, I pressed the subscribe button.

The announcement episode was released February 23rd and can be found here. According to their website, the first full episode will be released March 1st, 2016.

Sayer is Gladios meets Welcome to Nightvale meets HP Lovecraft.  Sayer is a disembodied monotone artificial intelligence that speaks directly into it’s residents.  By listening in to these transmissions, the audience is able to glean a little about the world of Sayer. We learn there are no bees on Typhon, but there are many ways to die.
